Finding and combining your super
Your 'lost' super
You may have superannuation money sitting in more than one fund (for example, from previous jobs). Unless you keep these funds up-to-date with your current address, they might consider you a 'lost member' and transfer your benefits to an eligible rollover fund where your investment may earn less.
Visit the ATO website for more information about how to find your lost superannuation for free and about eligible rollover funds.
Combining your super in one fund
You may be able to combine your accumulated superannuation into one fund using the 'portability' rules. These rules may allow you to move some or all of your accumulated superannuation into another fund.
Talk to your fund and visit the Australian Securities and Investments Commission's consumer website FIDO for more information about how these portability rules may apply in your situation.
