An employer (or default) fund is the fund to which you pay an employee's Superannuation Guarantee contributions if they do not choose a fund.

 

The superannuation fund you identify must be a complying fund and also offer a minimum level of life insurance as set out in the regulations (with some exceptions).

GESB is the employer fund for most State Government employees.
